About the Anchorage Farmers Market

Anchorage Farmers Market, located at 15th & Cordova, is the only non-profit, farmer-directed market in Anchorage. The Board of Directors consists of farmers and members.

As stated in our bylaws, " The purpose of this corporation shall be to further the health of the entire community by enhancing the viability of producing and marketing fresh Alaska Grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, animal products, and to provide market capabilities for farmers to retail their products to the customer directly."

The variety of offerings at the Anchorage Farmers Market changes seasonally as do some of the vendors, so become a regular shopper to find new offerings or to resupply your weekly needs!

New this week: tomatoes, broccoli raab, green cabbage, radicchio, and daikon.

We'll also have kohlrabi, zucchini, broccoli, Market Express ("snow apple") turnips, collards, mustard greens, turnip greens, Rainbow chard, kale (green, Redbor, Red Russian, and Toscano), spinach, various leaf lettuces, butter lettuces, romaine, greens mix, dandelion greens, arugula, scallions, tat soi, radishes, and nasturtium blossoms.

Herbs include: Genovese basil, marjoram, thyme, epazote, Italian and regular parsley, summer and winter savory, lemon and anise basil, sage, lovage, cilantro, chervil and chives.

We'll have our apple trees, hardy for successful growing in Alaska.
